From Mom: The apple pie is not unusual at all —vodka pie crust and any apples I happen to have though I usually buy Granny Smith that time of year. I use tapioca flour for thickening by choice but will make do with cornstarch if I don’t have the other. I do buzz a sample

From Mom: I make the gravy by adding water to the dregs in the roasting pan, eked out by adding any left-over broth from the materials made for the stuffing. Then add flour and water mixture and stir and hope it turns out right.
